I smile and hug my love She pouts and curls her lip I listen as you tell your sad tale She screams at your hope and dreams I laugh at the way your hair sticks up in minimal places She runs to comb the imperfections I wait patiently for your words She takes them when she wants them In my mind I see only you She keeps her eyes open I would sacrifice my very soul for you She would sacrifice yours And yet, the one and only in your life is SHE. | ||||||||||||||||

The silence haunts the room I close my eyes to escape The loneliness soon fades as gentle breathing begins Will you come to me tonight? Am I once again to feel the joy of your touch Or see a smile that lights the darkness. Oh, welcome night! For in my dreams is the only place you reside.
